Many businesses live and die by Alphabet Inc.’s online services, the largest of which is unquestionably Google Search. In tandem with AdSense and Google My Business, business owners can finely tune what information is displayed first to people who may be interested in their company’s products or services.

Unlike AdSense, Google My Business is a free service offered by Google, and not utilizing Google My Business to its full potential falls into the realm of negligence. That being said, Google My Business as a platform is far from perfect, and if you are a medium sized business that has multiple people managing multiple Google My Business accounts, there’s a good chance you have experienced an issue that we have run into when customers utilize our Google My Business management service.

Where on the green earth is my invite to manage one of our Google My Business pages?

Google My Business does not have a section for pending invites on its desktop home menu, it only shows you a list of accounts you already have access to. Beside that though, there is a tab on the side for managing linked accounts, changing settings, and a support button, but none of these options will take you to a page where you can see whether or not you have a pending invitation to manage another account. Perhaps you were invited awhile ago and can not find the invitation email. You might be thinking “oh well, I will just have them invite me again.” and they will try and you won’t get an invite. At some point you will come to realize that you will never see another email invite or a pending invite anywhere unless you have this link or can worm your way to finding it through a drawn out search and digging through Q&As.

Fortunately, we did that digging for you. We found that the best solution to this problem is to simply use this link: https://myaccount.google.com/brandaccounts. This will take you to a page you’ve never seen on GMB — your personal brand account management page. Pending invitations are the first thing you should see.

Hopefully Google will do something to improve the user interface so that using a hyperlink isn’t the only way to find your pending Google My Business invites but until then, this is what we are stuck with.
